Mallory began blowing raspberries last Friday (April 23). She's so funny when she does that. On a side note, it's been 5 days since we've seen a poopy diaper from her. Makes for a baby that is often unsettled. Over the past few days in the evenings, she is only content when Mom is holding her and she must be held facing outward, with one hand supporting her bottom and the other around her stomach. Thank goodness she has excellent head control.
Just realized yesterday that we only have one short year left before Josie starts school, which means one year for us to come and go as we please with no school schedule to work around.
The song of choice right now for the two big girls is "Rain is a good thing" by Luke Bryan. How funny is it to hear a 4 year old say her baby is a "little bit frisky?" : )
The girls and I went to my friend Sheryl's house tonight to visit their new baby, Madilyn. They played okay with Allison. There were several tiffs, but for the most part they got along well. Kylie and Allison are so much alike (they are 3 months apart in age). Can't wait to see how these kids interact as they get older.
I'm glad to have had the opportunity to get together with my friends tonight. What a great and wonderful group of women they are. They offer such support and a good time is always guaranteed. We definitely need to spend more time together.
Josie heard a song tonight and in it, they say the word Indiana. Josie informed me that we know "Diana" - she's the girl at the bank. : ) That would be Deanna Kabbes.

The Weekend
#1 event that Happened, but was not witnessed: Mallory rolled over from back to front. She did this Saturday night for the first time and again on Sunday. My theory is that she's forming an escape plan to get away from her big sisters when they try to smother her. : )
Doug & I went to Menards on Saturday night and the girls got to go to Aunt Sara's and play with Kye and Kody. Thanks Aunt Sara! A little note: I told the girls we were going to someone's house who had lots of toys - they guessed it right off the bat. : )
Sunday, Doug got the rest of the outside toys out for the girls to enjoy. Josie & Kylie got to plant some Zinnias and Snapdragons in the garden, since they missed out on planting the vegetables due to napping. All five of us enjoyed a 4-wheeler ride Sunday evening (Doug, Mallory & I on the front, Josie & Kylie in the cart on the back).
A few random things, mostly things said by Kylie. Kylie can buckle herself into her carseat, something Josie can't do yet (I think Josie's carseat is a little harder to buckle on the bottom). Kylie says "I do it my byself," when she wants to do something by herself, such as strapping into her seat. Also, Kylie is pretty big into saying "When we get home can we _______"
I have to give all 3 girls props for their napping this past weekend. On both Saturday and Sunday, all three were asleep at the same time, for at least 1 1/2 hours. I'm just proud of the big girls for not putting up such a fight.
Last thing. I went garage sale-ing this past Saturday. Of all the 6 or so ads I marked to go to, I didn't really have much luck, except for the one that had a Dora castle advertised. I was sure that by 8:30 it would be gone, especially since the sale started at 7:00. But sure enough, it was there and I snatched it up for $10. It was money well spent - the girls love it and it's been a great threatening/bribery tool. : )
I'm sure I forgot something. It was a busy weekend. Doug took Josie to the new parish center Friday night and let her ride around on her scooter while he and Gary worked for a couple of hours to get counter tops fastned down before the open house on Sunday morning. Doug was back there again at 6:30 Saturday morning to cut concrete and finish up getting the building ready. I will be soooooo glad when this project is done . . .

Gross
The weather has been lovely lately and I am so excited to be able to let the two big girls outside to play after we come home in the evenings. Last year was pretty good, I could leave them by themselves and check on them often. I thought this year would be much easier. I may be wrong.
Josie & Kylie were outside last night after we got home. I opened up the sandbox for them and got out the sidewalk chalks. Of course, once I went back in, Mallory was ready to eat. I checked on the big girls one more time before sitting down with Mal. So, there I set, feeding Mal in the living room and Kylie comes in. Not sure what she wanted, other than to talk. I sent her back out. She comes in again after about 5 - 10 minutes. I couldn't believe what I saw. The girl had sand all over her clothes (not a big deal since they were playing in the sandpile) and all around her mouth. It looked like she'd just eaten the biggest, messiest chocolate bar (made of sand) in the entire world. Oh, and it was in her mouth, too. I asked her if she ate it and she said yes. Well, not much I could do about it at this point other than wipe off her face and use a Kleenex (that was the closest thing I could find) to wipe all the sand out of her mouth.
As for Josie, when I was ready for her to come inside, she was nowhere to be found. Well, she was out front with the chalks, but I hollered for her multiple times to come in and she never responded. I started having flashbacks of Eric and Ryan walking down the lane to the green tractor at the end of the road. Well, as soon as I went to the front of the house I found her and all was fine.
Thank goodness Mallory is too little to leave outside!

Silly Girls
Starting yesterday, we have one new child that can't sit still. Miss Mallory has decided that it's time for her to start attempting to roll over. No complete flips yet, but definitely working on it. I can lay her on the floor with her head pointing to the TV, and by the time I go to pick her up, she has moved! Little Girly, isn't it a little too soon to be thinking about rolling over? : )
The drama at bedtime: Says Kylie "Momma, Momma, Mommy!" "Yes Kylie?" "I need out." (Said while standing at the gate blocking their doorway after we put her in bed 15 minutes earlier) "No, get in bed." "Momma," "What?" "I need something to eat." All being said with her little smile and uber-cute cheeks. Another silly girl.
Josie and Kylie got to go out to the woods with Dad this afternoon. When Dad went out to check his trail cam, he took both girls. They were gone for nearly two hours. Dad said Josie walked the whole time. They even got to see a deer! Yippee for Father/Daughter bonding time!!!
